    Instructions
    1. Preheat oven to 350º F. Prepare two 9-inch cake pans by spraying with baking spray or buttering and lightly flouring.
    2. For the cake:
    3. Add flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt and espresso powder to a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer. Whisk through to combine or, using your paddle attachment, stir through flour mixture until combined well.

  • Recipe of Kebab

    Beef Kebabs:

This kebab recipe works well because all of the ingredients will be cooked to perfection at the same time. The marinade not only adds flavor but keeps the small pieces of top sirloin from drying out.

    Cook Time: 10 minutes

    Total Time: 30 minutes

    Yield: Serves 4

    Ingredients:

    • 1 pound beef top sirloin, cut into 1 inch cubes
    • 1 green pepper, cut into 1 inch squares
    • 1 medium onion, cut into 1 inch pieces
    • 1 can pineapple chunks
    • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
    • 1/3 cup sherry
    • 1/3 cup soy sauce

    Chicken Tikka Kebabs

    Ground Lamb on Skewers

This is a very old and traditional Middle Easternrecipe. The trick is getting the meat to hold onto the skewers. Be gentle with them. As they cook the meat will harden and hold fast. You can serve these lamb kebabs by themselves of with a grilled pita and yogurt sauce.

    Prep Time: 25 minutes

    Cook Time: 15 minutes

    Total Time: 40 minutes

    Yield: Serves 4

    Ingredients:

    • 1 green chili, finely chopped
    • 1 large onion, finely chopped
    • 1 pound lamb (or beef)
    • 2 teaspoon coriander
    • 2 cloves minced garlic
    • 1 teaspoon chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
    • 2 teaspoons ground almonds
    • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
    • vegetable oil
    • 1 egg

    Preparation:

Drain lamb on paper towel for 15 minutes. Preheat grill. Mix all ingredients together. Mold mixture around long skewers (or do it the hard way and form the mixture into long thin sausages and thread onto skewers). Only the ends of the skewers should be visible. Place on grill, brush with oil and cook until done. Remove from skewers and serve. Traditionally served with rice and onion slices.
